Montecristo - Petit Edmundo Tubo
The Montecristo Petit Edmundo is a Robusto that is small but with a full body.
• Compared to the bigger Edmundo, it is filled with a different kind of tobacco leaves. However, both cigars have the same ring gauge.
• It is guaranteed to give the complete Montecristo feel in a short cigar.
This is the perfect cigar for those who like their cigars round and petit.
Ring Gauge: 52
Shape: Petit Robusto
This petit cigar comes in a silky, smooth wrapping and has a color similar to that of milk coffee with a dash of cinnamon on it. The cigar is firm to the touch.
Before you start:
The cigar gives off a nice aroma that could be classified as spicy, as spicy anise is perceived. Hay, black coffee, and some earthy aromas can be felt here as the draw remains solid.
The burn is very nice and attractive as it is orderly. Grey ash collects at the bottom of the cigar s smoking starts. The previously firm draw now becomes a bit more open but does not heat up.
The first third comes off very well as it presents typical Montecristo flavors. Woodsy aromas, such as those of oak and cedar are felt first, followed by leathery notes. This is accompanied by strong flavors of coffee and cocoa.
Within this third, exciting flavors such as nutmeg and cinnamon can be perceived. They are bolder than what is normally obtainable in a normal Montecristo. The strength is not that strong as this third still hovers around medium strength. A dash of marzipan finishes off the incredible build of this cigar. Burn and ash are in order as ash does not litter.
In this third, the cigar tends to be spicier with a thick creaminess to it. Cedar and coffee notes can also be tasted here as the body becomes fuller. An even burn is seen here, which releases smoke in generous amounts.
The Petit Edmundo Tubos is satisfying all through.
Between 45 minutes to 1 and half hour.
